Do Americans have the Right to equate Birthers with Nut Job, Right Wing Racist Loons?

I'm seriously beginning to think that birthers are paid Obama campaign staff.. since they do Obama a lot of good by associating conservatives with birthers, which push moderates into the Obama camp.
